#27 - Ride The Tower of Terror

For those of you who don't know, I really dislike free falls. I hate the feeling of my stomach in my throat. Well, this time to Disneyland, I promised Jake I would ride the Tower of Terror. It's not just a free fall, but you drop multiple times. I was not looking forward to this.
After all was said and done, I actually liked it. It wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting. I think it helped that I was grabbing and holding on to Jake's arm the whole time. And I figured if little kids could do it, so could I. Next time I want to do it at night. It's gotta be so much cooler at night.

#35 - See The Backside Of A Waterfall

This, is the backside of a waterfall. Have you ever see it before? It's only the 8th wonder of the world. Just ask the Jungle Cruise guides!

#9 - Try A New And Exotic Food

I know I already posted this pic, but I needed to tell more. While Jake and I were in Mazatlan, everyone kept talking about how great the shrimp is there. Apparently they do a LOT of shrimping! So after we got back from Deer Island, we walked to this little restaurant right on the water. Let's just say I'm very glad Jake knows Spanish! Anyway, back to the exotic food. I don't know if everyone would consider this exotic, but I am.
This, my friends, is shrimp ceviche. We got the shrimp cooked, because neither of us wanted to die. But it was made with tomatoes, onions, cucumber, and a lot of lime. I'm sure there was more in it, but I don't know. Either way, it was good, and I lived.

Towel Animals

Every night on the cruise we got a towel animal on our bed. I know what all of them are but one. Anyone wanna take a guess?

Seal

Dog

Elephant

Frog - if you yake off his face and turn him upside down, he turns into a turkey. I wish I would have gotten a pic of the turkey towel.

Sting ray

Rabbit

Mystery animal - Platypus? Sitting in his hind legs? I have no idea.

Honeymoon, #4, 5, & 26

So I know these are long overdue, but better late than never! These aren't all the pics, but at least it's a good start. Enjoy!

Halloween

At work, Halloween is a pretty big deal. I'm not one for dressing up but I do it anyway.
3 years ago I was an Air Craft Carrier. I wore a Navy shirt and carried a toy air craft all day. Get it?

(Payroll Department)

2 years ago I was a Brownie Girl Scout. Complete with homemade girl scout cookies (thin mints and somoas) and my original brownie sash.

Last year, I was the tooth fairy. Big puffy tutu, itty-bity tiny wings. I won a prize, but I can't remember what it was for.

This year, our department decided to dress up as witches. There was no way I was going to be a normal witch. So I decided to be the Wicked Witch of the East. You know... the one who gets a house dropped on her. This year I won Most Creative.

At least I think I'm funny.

#18 - The Scorch Trials

I have been re-reading all the Harry Potter books, hopefully finishing before the movie comes out. I'm about halfway through the 4th book, and I left it at work over the weekend. Great. Now what am I supposed to read? Good thing I already bought a new book! Remember a while ago (sometime last year) when I read The Maze Runner? Well, after a long year of waiting, the 2nd book in the trilogy is finally out! And it's good! It ended pretty much the same way the first one did, a complete cliffhanger. Guess I'll have to wait another year for the last book. Until then, bring on Harry Potter!

#16 & #18

While on the cruise, I finished yet another Harry Potter book. Man, do i love these! I'm already halfway through book 4. Hopefully I can finish them all before the movie comes out. That doesn't really leave me a lot of time, but we'll see.

Mmmm...Shrimp

For those of you who know me, you know I LOVE shrimp. Come to find out, so does Jake! Happy! While we were on our Honeymoon we realized that we were eating a ton of shrimp. So we decided to keep a shrimp tally. In the 11 days we were gone, we ate a grand total of 117 shrimp. 117 SHRIMP! That, my friends, is a lot of shrimp. We had shrimp at our reception, shrimp in Disneyland at the Blue Bayou, shrimp on the sushi on the cruise, shrimp every night for dinner on the cruise, and shrimp in Mazatlan. Stay tuned for awesome shrimp pictures!

Marathon... here I come!

Once upon a time I decided to marry a runner. Little did I know he would want to make me a runner. Yesterday, I was signed up for the Runner's Series. Basically I have to run 2 St. George approved races and I get an automatic spot in the St. George Marathon in October 2011 instead of the lottery. Yay. I've been telling Jake that I could die. He said I wouldn't die. Today I found an article about someone who did die from running a marathon. And he was only 22! Click here for the story.

However, I think this would be a sweet marathon. Except that it's a marathon. In January. In Florida. Other than that, it would be awesome!

Either way, I start my training next week. I was told to bring my running shoes on my honeymoon because there is a track on the ship. I think this calls for new running attire. What do you think? Anyone have some headphones I can use? My iPod ones are a little small!

# 16 & 18

This weekend I finished another Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. That puts me 1 book closer to 50 and 1 Harry Potter closer to 7. I forgot how much I love these books. I started reading the 3rd one and even watched the movie last night. Love it!
