Hackers

So my gmail account has been hacked a few times. Someone has sent 400+ emails, changed my password (that was fun to fix) and it starting to send emails again. So if you get an email from me, I'm sorry. Because of this, I am deleting the email account FOREVER. Which means that this blog will be no longer. I will let everyone know the new blog once it's up and running. Sorry for all the drama. I'm just trying to cover my butt before they get any other personal information.

Wednesday, December 15, 2010

So last night, I renewed my training. After getting home from Tithing Settlement, I got out of the Sunday attire and got in the much more comfortable running gear. The only hitch, I could not find the ipod sensor that records my mileage. I almost didn't go, because of that one minor fact.
But I went. I only had 30 minutes to run, but I got in a 5k. However, when the run was over - I felt a twinge of regret. My Nike+ sensor didn't record the run, so even though I had dragged myself to the gym, no one would be able to confirm the fact that I went. There was no record of my internal fight to finish a workout. (Yes, I still have the internal struggle of "Just quit, walk for a while, you are tired, you are out of breath, hey - go eat a pizza and a hamburger, and fries, and a soda, and ice cream, etc...") On top of everything else, I am out of shape - so it was a battle to get the 5k done.
Well, I got the idea to take a photo of my run, that way I have a record.

The GoldFish Killer

I have now accepted that fact that I, Stacy Jo Summers, am a GoldFish Killer.

A few years ago My roommate and I bought 2 goldfish. After about 2 days, one of them died. Another day or two later, the other one died.

Last Monday my mom gave me one of her 2 fish. It was a huge goldfish. And I mean huge. Just ask her. I thought that maybe the last 2 fish were jsut sick when I got them. I thought maybe this time would be different.

I was wrong.

This morning, I woke up at 7:30am to a dead fish. One, giant, very dead, floating belly-up goldfish.

I am the GoldFish Killer.

#18 - The Accidential Billionaires

I needed a break from Harry Potter so I found a new book to read. I thought it would be really cool to know the story of Facebook. It was...well...it was interesting. I almost want to boycott Facebook now. The guy who invented it, Mark Zuckerberg, is, in my opinion, a total jerk. He steals someone else's idea, weasels his way out of the lawsuit (for a while anyway), screws over his best friend and business partner, gets a new partner (the Napster man), screws him over too, and takes credit for everything. Good book, but not a fan of the guy.

Broken Cookies

I officially know what to do with broken cookies. Problem is, I usually don't have broken cookies. I think I just might need to break cookies.

Of course mine would be cuter!

Cake Wrecks

Yesterday I was browsing one of my favorite websites, cakewrecks.com when I cane across some of THE best sports wrecks.
Let's start with the Broncos Cake. This is the Broncos Logo...

This is a picture from Aliens...

This is the cake they came up with. Which one do you think it looks more like? The Broncos? Or the alien?

I think it looks more like the alien.

Moving on. Let's go to the TCU cake. This is the TCU logo.

This is Kermit the Frog and Grover.

What do you get when you mix Kermit the Frog and Grover? And add the letters T C and U? You get this!

I love cake wrecks. I just hope I never make one!

Turkey Trot

This year, Turkey Day started off with a Turkey Trot. (sorry, we took no pictures!) The whole Summers crew got up early (ok, the race didn't start until 8am), put on many many layers (It was 8 degrees when we left, maybe 13 when we were running), and headed to American Fork to run around the shopping center parking lot. And no, I'm not kidding. The race started and ended at Fleet Feet.  We got to run by Kohls, in front of Target and Old Navy, around the movie theater, in front AND behind Wal-Mart and Home Depot. It was a very strange course. I had 1 goal going into the race... I wanted to beat my last 5k time of 41 minutes. (Now do you believe I'm not a runner?) And I did it! I came in at just over 39 minutes. I still have a lot of work to do if I'm going to do the St. George Marathon in October. Bring on the running!

# 16 & 18 - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

I was reading book 4, and I knew I wouldn't finish 4, 5, 6, AND 7 before the movie comes out this week. I I stopped half-way through 4, and picked up 7. I love this book. I'm sad that they're doing the movie in 2 parts. Stupid Hollywood.

#14 - Get Married

I know you have all been waiting for these. And I just got them back on Friday, so you get them today! Here are a bunch of random shots from the wedding and reception. (Sorry, no pics from the luncheon - if anyone has any, could you send them to me? I didn't get any!)

I LOVE that Woody came to my wedding!

I love Handsome Simon!

Cabo San Lucas - Canyon Canopy

Probably my favorite part of the cruise was the stop in Cabo. We decided to do a Canyon Canopy Tour. It consisted of zip lines, rock climbing, repelling, Tarzan swings, and commando bridges. There were 11 of us plus 4 guides, 1 of which was a photographer. We weren't allowed to bring out cameras since we needed both hands at all times, so we were very grateful for the photographer. Here are some pics from the adventure.
